JOEY ARMSTRONG
Joey Armstrong started his tattoo career in San Francisco in 2003 at Goldfield’s. Working under Henry Goldfield, Dave Bobrick, Rob Merrill and Luke Stewart, Joey gained his beginning in his new career from some of the best.
After working at Goldfield’s for three and a half years, Joey moved on to Seventh Son Tattoo in 2007. He worked under Jason Kundell, Erik Rieth and Luke Stewart. He still travels on a regular basis down to San Francisco in order to tattoo out of Seventh Son Tattoo when he’s not working from Thunderhand Tattoo.
Joey is a well rounded artist and enjoys many forms, but he specialized in Japanese style tattooing.
Painting is another artist outlet that Joey enjoys. He paints in many mediums which include: water color, oil, acrylic, air brush and aerosol.
When not tattooing, Joey enjoys spending time with his wife and kids and training Brazilian Jiu-jitsu where he is a black belt under Ralph Gracie.
